Serena Stanton

Bath based Serena has always been passionate about performing, touring with a variety of theatre companies from her early twenties.
Prior to founding Freedom Theatre UK, Serena worked professionally for five years with the West Midlands based Saltmine Theatre Company.
During this time, she acted as company manager, also finding time to perform in the popular productions, “The Cross and the Switchblade,” and an adaptation of the C.S. Lewis story, “The Screwtape Letters.” She also made a dramatic impact with her portrayal of Joy Davidman, the wife of Lewis in her one woman show “Joy Observed.”
Serena has also written and directed a number of her own productions, and is an inspirational team leader and player with an infectious personality and sense of humour.

Mark Seaman

Having begun his professional career as a radio presenter in 1976, Mark brings over thirty years experience as a broadcaster, actor, writer and senior manager to Freedom Theatre UK.
Mark was part of the successful team in the 1980’s behind the launch of the National Classic Gold radio service.
He also acted as programme and launch director for Premier radio in London, and more recently with the BBC in the North East where as managing editor of the local radio station, picked up a number of accolades including two National Sony radio awards.
He has presented a variety of news and children’s television programmes in the past
Mark has also written plays for the stage, and successfully directed his own work at a number of festivals.
He has also acted professionally appearing in Channel 4’s “Brookside” and the cult film, “Human Traffic.”
